Happy Holidays!!

I know I'm behind on my blogging again. You'll have to forgive me. Since November 1st I have shot 3 weddings, 108 full sessions, 84 limited edition sessions, 4 days of preschool pictures, and held many ordering appointments. I've taken and edited thousands upon thousands of pictures, and stayed up past my bedtime more times than I want to count! I do want to take a moment and thank you all for your business, for your friendships, for your referrals and especially your patience! 2008 has been a remarkable year!

It is now time for me to rest and enjoy my family! The studio will be closed beginning Tuesday, December 23rd and will reopen Tuesday January 6th. Lana and I both wish you warm wishes for a merry Christmas and a happy New Year! Just wait until you see what we have in store for 2009!

We had a wonderful week with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the studio!  It was so fun to see all the little ones dressed in their finest.  Some are "regulars" and ones who have visited our Santa for the third year in a row now.  Others were "new" and just as precious!

The same evening this family came in for pictures, they had to take their daughter to the ER for conjestive heart failure. She is a cancer survivor and is now on the list for a heart transplant. Please keep this sweet family in your prayers.

Attempting to get back in the groove...

There's still no internet at the studio, so I'm not getting email and am having to bring everything home to upload, but other than that I'm getting back in the swing of things, post-Ike.  Here are a few shots from the week of September 8th - a week that was cut short from the evacuation.

Hurricane Update

The studio now has power, but no internet.  My voicemail comes in through my email, so I am not getting voice mails at this time.  If you've left a voicemail, please check back with us if you do not hear from us within a few days.  You can still email me at my yahoo account, which is lauraodom@yahoo.com.  The studio is not maintaining regular hours, but I am holding appointments if you are up to it.  If you have an appointment, I will be in touch.  If we had an appointment scheduled during the evacuation, we will also be contacting you soon to reschedule.  I hope all of you are safe and have suffered minimal damage from the storm! 

Hurricane Ike

Brazoria County is under a manditory evacuation, so the studio will be closed beginning today (Thursday) and will plan to reopen Tuesday. If you have an appointment early next week, we will be in touch with you to confirm once the storm has passed.

We are shutting down my computers, and I am taking my server with me, so all my backups should be safe and sound. However, it will mean my email and website will be down. We will get it back up as soon as possible, but in the meantime please email my yahoo account to get in touch with me. lauraodom@yahoo.com
