Need a smash cake?

Look at this precious cake! Several of you have asked me where to get the cakes for the traditional "First Birthday Cake" pictures so I've been on the lookout. There's a new bakery in town called "Out of the Box" located at 3518 Broadway between Highway 35 and Old Alvin road. Their smash cakes are only $14.95 & they can custom design them to be exactly as you want them! They can put a whipped icing on the cake that's not too sweet for babies. It has come to this...

Due to my recent bout with kidney cancer & surgery I haven't been able to take pictures in the studio for a while (It's killin' me - my new studio is ready for take-off!). You are now forced to look at snapshots of my children until I'm back at work... which will be very soon. =)

In Recovery

Well, my surgery is behind us, and I'm short a kidney and a gall bladder, but you'd never know it. The doctors seem very pleased with my progress and I am feeling better every day. Hope to be taking pictures in no time! Thanks to all of you who have sent well-wishes, said prayers, brought food, and sent cards. I am overwhelmed by your kindness.

I'm well enough now to have the laptop with me in bed, so I'm now beginning to work on orders that have come in while I was "down and out". Please continue to be patient with me as I recover, and I'll be back to full swing in no time!
